IISER Pune Invites Applications for Summer Student Programme
The Indian Institution of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is inviting applications for the Summer Student Programme starting from 15th May to 15th July 2019.
The IISER (Indian Institution of Science Education and Research), Pune is all set to start with the Summer Student Programme from 15th May to 15th July 2019. The students interested in research or are associated with research are invited by the institution to apply for the Summer Programme under the provisions issued by the IISER. The online application submission for the same will start on 12th February 2019. The application submission will be accepted until February 28, 2019.
Researchers from all over the nation can apply for the Summer Programme and participate in the research-oriented programmes under the guidance of the faculty of the Indian Institution of Science Education and Research, Pune. The activities of the research programme will cover both the practical, experimental and theoretical approaches of the subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Social Sciences and Humanities, Earth and Climate Science, Physics and Mathematics with a special emphasis on Interdisciplinary Research.

There is a set of eligibility norms described by the institution for the candidates who intend to participate in this Summer Programme. The norms prescribed states that the candidates must be in the second, third or fourth year of B.Sc, B.E. or B.Tech courses. First-year students of M.Sc, M.Tech or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 80% in a particular stream/s can also apply for the Summer Programme.

The intention of the institution is to involve more research-oriented candidates in this programme so that more can be extracted from both the institution as well as the candidates participating in the programme. With the help of the Summer Student Programme, participants will also get an exposure of the Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. programmes available for them in the institution, as said by an official of the institution.
