IIT Aspirant Turned Actor: Sushant Singh Rajput Shares his Story
From the boy who aspired to clear IIT to the man who gave one of the biggest blockbuster on celluloid in 2016, Sushant Singh Rajput has come a long way.
From the boy who aspired to clear IIT to the man who gave one of the biggest blockbuster on celluloid in 2016, Sushant Singh Rajput has come a long way. The actor spoke at a gathering in IIT Mumbai and shared his story and his life experiences.
While preparing for his new project – Homi Adajania's Takadum that is set to hit the floor on the first week of November – the actor turned up at IIT Mumbai and interacted with students of the institute. Sushant told the students that he once wanted to become an engineer.

The 30-year-old actor wanted to get into either IIT Delhi or IIT Mumbai but could not score enough to get admission in one of the premier engineering institutions of India.
Sushant, like most of the children in India, was told that only a career in engineering ensures a good job and successful career. He worked hard throughout school and made it to Delhi College of Engineering, now known as the Delhi Technological University.
He told the students how his family was ecstatic about his selection in one of the good engineering colleges in India but there was a void in his heart as that was not what he wanted.

Sushant dropped out of DTU in 2006 and started doing theater. Soon after that, the actor starred in his first television show that led him to glorious heights. Sushant is happy with the decision that he made years ago as it led him to the path he always wished to walk on.
