IIM Bangalore and IIT Bombay will host the second annual ‘future of learning’ conference known as ‘Learning 4.0: Connecting the Dots and Reaching the Unreached’. This conference will take place at IIM Bangalore on January 4th and 5th, 2019.

Even though there is an emphasis on the digital transformation of the economy, there is a huge rural-urban divide and the internet penetration in urban areas is 65 percent whereas, in the rural areas, it is 20 percent. This leaves over 50 percent of the population which is underserved with respect to the educational services. The situation in South Asia is similar to almost 65 percent of the population which has limited or no internet access.
