IIT Delhi PHD Incubator Program Paves Path for Students to Become Entrepreneurs
IIT Delhi introduces PHD Incubator programme to make skilled technological workers eligible for entrepreneurship and build a Start-up. IIT Delhi plans to provide all required infrastructures to the budding entrepreneurs.
The Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Delhi has recently invited applications for PHD Incubators programmes looking for students working with deep technological understanding. The new innovation based course in IIT Delhi conducted by an autonomous body will train the researches to become entrepreneurs in their field by using technology in the best possible manner.
The PHD or Platform for Harnessing Deep technologies 2019 programme aims towards developing for emerging future technologies that require advance R&D. The PHD Incubator course is targetted towards technical entrepreneurs to train them how to take a leap towards technology commercialisation.
To validate the proof of concept, the PHD Incubator program plains to work in high-risk technological innovative projects and give them a strong foundation. The Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Delhi has also included people outside IIT to take part in the PHD Incubator Project.
The director of IIT Delhi, Prof. V Ramgopal Rao has said that the time has come to take the innovation projects of India to the next level with the help of PHD Incubator Program. He has assured that if a student has a good understanding of technology, IIT Delhi will take care of the rest. IIT Delhi has all the infrastructure to develop an Idea to a Start-up with adequate funds for the concept.

Salient Features of IIT Delhi PHD Incubator Program
- Incubation Space will be provided in IIT Delhi’s Sonipat Residential Incubation place
- The project leader will get 2 years of free boarding and lodging
- The experts' network and business leaders from FIITa and IIT’s infrastructure
- The program will give access to investors
The design of scheme execution will be in such a manner where only genuinely interested and qualified professionals can get into.
