IIT Gandhinagar to Host Two-Day Technical Summit ‘Amalthea 2016’
It is one of the biggest technical summits organised in Gujarat which aims to encourage the participants of the summit to use the technology to address the challenges around us.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar will host a two-day technical summit ‘Amalthea 2016’. It is the seventh edition of the technical summit which is being organised by the Institute. The theme of the event is ‘Technologizing Changes’. It is one of the biggest technical summits organised in Gujarat which aims to encourage the participants of the summit to use the technology to address the challenges around us.

Rajat Goel, Core Committee Member of Amaletha 2016 said that most of the problems which exist in the world including economic, humanitarian or social could be solved if they are looked at with a technological perspective. The two-day event comprises of various talks which aim to give a deeper understanding and academia. Another highlight of the event is Symposium. The theme of Symposium is ‘Technologies in Defence and Internal Security’.

Apart from Symposium and Conclave, an exhibition will be organised. The theme of the exhibition is ‘Expediting Development through Technology’. Latest developments in science and technology will be showcased in the exhibition. A Network Dinner will also be hosted in the summit to create an opportunity for industry and academia to interact with each other. This event will help the institute to take its concept of ‘Integration of Engineering’ to the next level.
A wide range of technical activities will be conducted to test and develop the skills of technology enthusiasts and innovators. One of the activities is, D-Code, an online algorithmic programming contest. The other events are a Speed-Cubing event and so forth.
