Discoveries made by IIT Hyderabad:
- One among the discovery made by Mr. Chandra Shekhar Sharma and his team is recycling Thermocol waste and developing fabric out of it by using the orange peel extract as a major solvent. The solvent was tested at the laboratory, and it gave positive results. For this model, Mr. Sharma applied for Chinese, American, Indian and PCT patent. The discovery that is highly beneficial to the society and industry won a gold medal at WIIF China.
- The other invention made by Mr. Sharma his team is ‘Electro-Spun Nano-Fibres based Sanitary Napkins’. The significant invention bagged a silver medal at WIIF China.
During his research in inventing ‘Electro-Spun Nano-Fibres based Sanitary Napkins’, Mr. Chandra Shekhar Sharma was assisted by his students: -
- Tulika Rastogi
- Mani Pujitha
- Shital Yadav
