IIT JEE Advanced 2017 to be Held on May 21
It has also been decided that the cut-off for the aggregate marks in Class 12 for SC and ST students will be minimised to 65 percent from 70 percent.
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has finally announced the date of IIT JEE Advanced 2017 examination. The test is scheduled to take place on May 21, 2017. The decision was taken at the Joint Admission Board (JAB) meeting held at IIT Madras. It has also been decided that the cut-off for the aggregate marks in Class 12 for SC and ST students will be minimised to 65 percent from 70 percent.
According to the guidelines issued by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions stated that OBC-NCL certificates issued after April 1, 2017, will be considered valid for JEE (Advanced) 2017. In 2017, candidates from foreign nations will also be eligible to appear for the exam to get admission in various IITs and ISM.

It is expected that as many as 20,000 students will be eligible to write JEE (Advanced) after qualifying JEE (Mains). Overall, a total number of 2.2 lakh students are expected to take the IIT JEE 2017 examination.
IIT-Madras will introduce a short video tutorial and SMS services to help the students regarding the admission related hassles, fee payment, choice filling, result announcement and so on and so forth.
CBSE has not yet decided the date of JEE Mains examination.
