IIT-KGP: Super 30’s Anand Kumar urges Students to use Knowledge for Societal Progress
Addressing the students at a function organized by IIT Kharagpur, mathematician and founder of Super 30, Anand Kumar said that knowledge should be used for the development of the society.
Addressing the students at a function organized by IIT Kharagpur, mathematician and founder of Super 30, Anand Kumar said that knowledge should be used for the development of the society.
Kumar urged the students to utilize their skills in order to drive collective growth for the society and contribute to the development of the nation. On the event held at the institute on Saturday, January 21, 2017, Kumar encouraged the students to work for the people of the nation and help in improving their standard of living.

He talked about uplifting the society and said that students of the premier institutes such as IIT Kharagpur can become a contributing factor in exponential growth. Stressing on the need of positive change, he said that it should be the motto of the students to help backward sections of the society and enable them to move hand-in-hand with development.
Talking about the technology gap between the developing and under-developed sections of the society, he said that this is one of the aspects that must be focused to achieve homogenous development. He also added that technology should be accessible to all and that the tech-savvy youth understands this best.

Technological intervention is required to enhance farming practices and bring social revolution in the country, added Kumar. He also said that by integrating farming practices and technology, the problem of food scarcity can be resolved.
