IIT Kharagpur Introduces Amazon Web Services Educate Programme

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur will be adopting Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educate programme so as to help its students cultivate cloud computing skills that also include hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence. This was informed by a top official of IIT Kharagpur.

The director of IIT Kharagpur, Professor P P Chakrabarti said that the institute is delighted to introduce AWS Educate programme that will provide students with AI-enablement and AWS Cloud Computing experience. This programme will be offered to all students, irrespective of which branch of study do they belong to.

The AWS Educate programme is a global initiative of Amazon to provide educators and students with all the resources that are needed to accelerate cloud-related learning and also to help in powering the workforce of the future.

IIT Kharagpur said in a statement that the programme provides a robust set of resources, no-cost tools and AWS Promotional Credits for educators and students to enable them in boosting their cloud skills and experience.

AWS Educate is specially designed to improve the skills of students by teaching about and imparting the latest technological skills in them. It helps the students be at par with the most recent advancements made in cloud computing technology and also provides them with an environment in which they can experiment on AWS Cloud.

The students will get access to twelve Cloud Career Pathways that will cover the topics demanded by employers. Cybersecurity, machine learning, and software development will be a part of this AWS Educate programme. After the completion of this programme, students will receive an AWS Educate Badge or an AWS Educate Certificate of Completion.
