IIT Madras Invites Applications for its HSEE 2017

IIT Madras invites applications for its five-year programme IIT HSEE (Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination) 2017, which is the gateway to study humanities either through an integrated M.A. in English Studies or Development Studies. The programme has a total of 46 seats. Each stream will have 23 seats.

Eligibility Criteria for HSEE 2017:

• Candidates applying for HSEE 2017 must clear their 12^th examination conducted by central, state board or Association of Indian Universities.
• Aspiring candidates have to be physically fit and will have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner. Only those candidates who are physically fit will be shortlisted.

How to Apply for the Course:

Aspiring candidates have to submit their complete application form online only. Also, they must provide the scanned signature, photograph, and copies of relevant certificates, before the scheduled date.

HSEE 2017 Exam Pattern:

• It is a three-hour long examination and has two parts.
• Part I consists of objective type multiple choice questions for 150 Minutes duration through the computer.
• Part II will have essay writing for 30 Minutes to be written on answer sheet distributed.

• English and Comprehension Skill
• Analytical and Quantitative Ability
• General Studies on Indian Economics (since Independence), Indian Society, Post World War -II contemporary World Affairs and Environment and Ecology
