IIT Madras and Rolls-Royce Collaborate for Joint Research Programmes
IIT Madras and Rolls-Royce will be collaborating for joint research programmes. All the permanent employees of Rolls-Royce Engineering Centre, located in Bangalore are eligible to pursue doctoral/ master’s course at IIT Madras.
IIT Madras and Rolls-Royce will be collaboration to explore opportunities and promote joint research programmes. In order to facilitate higher education for its engineers, Rolls-Royce will come up with a ‘Technical Higher Study Framework’, and the same will be rolled out in collaboration with IIT Madras. The collaboration between IIT Madras and Rolls-Royce will play a dominant role in pursuing advanced research in areas that are relevant to future technological as well as programmatic needs of the company.
Apart from working on Technical Higher Study Framework with IIT Madras, Rolls-Royce will also sponsor selected employees who are keen to pursue research/ Master’s/ Ph.D. programme at IIT Madras. Employees of Rolls-Royce who are interested in pursuing these courses from IIT Madras should first clear the selection process of the premier institute, and the research proposal submitted by the applicants should be aligned with strategic research priorities and capabilities of Rolls-Royce. Only such employees will be sponsored to pursue Ph.D. level courses at IIT Madras.

All the permanent employees of Rolls-Royce Engineering Centre, located in Bangalore are eligible to pursue doctoral/ master’s course at IIT Madras. However, the employees must have completed a minimum of 36 months of work experience to be eligible for the admission process. Rolls-Royce will circulate more details to the employees, and the details about the application process will be intimated to the interested employees.
