IIT Madras Signs MoU with IOC

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd to enter a specialised collaboration to create Specification for the Hybrid Inspection System for Reformer Tubes under MOC-Phase-III.
Tubes are utilised as a part of a few enterprises for Hydrogen Crackers. Reformer tubes typically used as a part of the refining, petrochemical and compost enterprises are fabricated by the outward throwing procedure and warmth safe austenitic amalgams, for example, HK - 40, HP-40, and HP - Niobium changed materials.

Prof Krishnan Balasubramaniam, Head of Center for Non-destructive Evaluation (CNDE), IIT Madras and Dean of Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research (ICSR) said that MoU between IIT Madras and Indian Oil Corporation Limited would upgrade profitability, increment proficiency and lessen the cost. IIT Madras is glad to work together with PSUs for their industrial research equipment.
