IIT-Roorkee to Release Official Answer Key of GATE 2017 on February 27

The official answer key, of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 concluded on February 12, 2017, will be released on 27 February 2017. The update was announced on the official website of IIT Roorkee. GATE exam is conducted for admission to Ph.D. and M.tech. degrees offered by IITs, IISc and other reputed engineering and science colleges in India.

The examination was conducted for 23 different disciplines of Engineering and Science. IIT Roorkee was the organising institutes for GATE. The answer key will be published at the website of the Insitute.

Students who appeared for GATE 2017 are waiting for the original answer key to get the correct answers. The answer key was supposed to be released immediately after the exam. Candidates are told not to be confused with the answer key published by different coaching institutes and other unofficial commercial website. It is the official answer key that will help the students estimate their actual score.

If the candidates are not satisfied by the answer key they can challenge the answer key from March 3 to March 6, 2017. However, the institute will not take any challenges after 6 March. IIT Roorkee also plans to declare the result for GATE 2017 on March 27, 2017.

GATE is one of the prestigious examinations for the science and engineering graduates of the country. It is not only the criteria for higher education in leading institutes but also an entry-level exam for the recruitment process of various Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs). The recruitment process through GATE in PSUs started in the year 2012. Several leading PSUs that take the GATE score for their recruitment process are - BPCL, IOCL, GAIL, IOCL,BSNL, etc.
