IIT Tirupati and 7inQ Sign MoU to Set Up Centre of Excellence
- IIT Tirupati and 7inQ collaborated to set up Centre of Excellence in the Internet of Things and Product Engineering.

IIT Tirupati and 7inQ (Venusgeo) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 07, 2018, for setting up Centre of Excellence for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Product Engineering. IoT and Product Engineering are two major focuses of IIT Tirupati apart from food science and engineering, energy and smart infrastructure.
Through CoE, practical training will be imparted to students on designing, developing and manufacturing IoT products exclusively catering to industrial and agriculture domains. Faculty at IIT Tirupati who have been trained in world-class institutes will guide the students to incubate ideas. On the other hand, 7inQ will play a pioneering role in bringing the industry expertise in digital manufacturing and product engineering to the Centre of Excellence.

The aim of the MoU between IIT Tirupati and 7inQ is to create student entrepreneurs. The idea is to make students job creators instead to job seekers. With a target to implement the idea, Director of IIT Tirupati and CEO of 7inQ signed this significant MoU.
Giving details about the MoU, Director of IIT Tirupati, Dr. KN Satyanarayana revealed that entrepreneurship, incubation and innovation are the three major motives that will drive the collaboration. The emphasis will be on global outlook with local relevance. Therefore, the premier institute wanted to collaborate with a local organisation, he explained.

CEO of 7inQ, Mr. Giridhar Gadhiraju termed the collaboration as a unique initiative that will bring the entire life cycle of the electronic product system, designing and manufacturing to IIT students.
