Important Instructions for Karnataka MBBS Counselling 2021

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has recently released a new notification regarding Karnataka MBBS Counselling 2021. According to the official publication, the government has directed the KEA to accept online applications for medical and dental courses. The online registration for the MBBS admission in Karnataka started on December 13. Here is a list of important instructions for aspirants.

Here are some of the important instructions pertaining to Karnataka MBBS and BDS admission 2021 -

• The mode of submitting applications would be online, and the direct link to register for admission has been activated
• Candidates who have secured the prescribed minimum score or more in NEET 2021 exam are eligible to apply.
• Candidates belonging to Karnataka can also apply for a government share of AYUSH seats.
• Applicants not domiciled in Karnataka cannot reservation. They can only apply when they have secured the 50^thpercentile or above under the general category.
• Reservations for SC/ST/OBC categories can only be claimed by applicants belonging to Karnataka.
• Before applying, the candidates shall go through the eligibility criteria and reservation of seats thoroughly published on the information bulletin of the KEA website.
• The last date of submission of application for taking admission in Karnataka MBBS counselling 2021 is 22 December 2021.
• The last day to pay the application fee is 27 December 2021 till 05:00 PM.
• The candidates have to enter their correct Roll No. for UG NEET 2021 for application.
• Candidates who have completed the document verification procedure under the Common Entrance Test 2021 need not appear again if they are not claiming a reservation. They need to download their verification slip from the KEA website as and when they become available.
• The abovementioned candidates can apply for reservation online through the latest application form if they belong to the following category: -
  • Government of Karnataka norms
  • Linguistic minority
  • Religious minority
  • NRI ward
  • Seats under Category 2-8 in St. John Medical College, Bangalore
