CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2024 Important Instructions: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) announced the result of CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2024 on August 5, 2024, on the official website of CSAB. Based on the seat allotment, candidates can choose either to Freeze/Float/Slide/Surrender/Exit/Withdraw their seat option between August 5 and August 7, 2024, by 5 PM. Aspirants who have qualified in the seat allotment round must note some important instructions that need to be followed after the seat allotment. The process needs to be followed after seat allotment and important instructions are explained below on this page.

CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2024: Seat Acceptance & Reporting Process
The seat acceptance and reporting process after the CSAB Round 1 has been elaborated below. For accepting the allotted seat, any of the following options should be chosen –- Freeze: If you are satisfied with the seat allotment and do not want to participate in Round 2, ‘Freeze’ is the option which should be chosen.
- Slide: If you are looking for a better course allotment within the same institute, ‘Slide’ is the option which has to be chosen. In such cases, the allotted seat will be accepted and will be cancelled only if you get a better allotment.
- Float: If you are looking for a better institute allotment, ‘Float’ is the option that has to be selected. In such cases, the allotted seat will be accepted and will be cancelled only if you get a better allotment in the second round.
- Surrender and Participate in Special Round 2: If you want to ‘Reject’ the seat allotted in Round 1 and want to participate in Round 2 then you can choose this option. In such cases, you will not be allowed to retain the seat allocated in Round 1.
- Surrender and Not Participate in Special Round 2: If you do not want to proceed with counselling, you can surrender the allotted seat and withdraw from the counselling process
CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment: Important Instructions
Applicants can read below the important instructions that need to be followed after the CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment:- The seat allotment will be released only through the ‘Candidate Login’ portal of the CSAB website.
- The candidate will not be intimated regarding their allotment over Mail or SMS.
- Candidates choosing the ‘Freeze/Float/Slide’ options must pay the seat acceptance fee and complete the document verification process online.
- If candidates don't select any option against their allotted seat within the stipulated time period, then the current seat allotted to the candidate will get cancelled, including the seat allotted in JoSAA Rounds.
- Candidates choosing the ‘Float/Slide’ options must wait for the Round 2 Seat Allotment. Their seat from round 1 allotment will not be cancelled.
- If the candidate doesn’t get a better allocation in Round 2, they can retain the allotment of Round 1.
- PwD candidates must choose the reporting centre for verification of PwD status before August 7, 2024 (5 PM).
