In a bid to boost Hindi Language Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya has announced to launch a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in Hindi language from session 2016-17.
If it is implemented then DAVV would be the first university in the country to introduce an MBA programme in Hindi language.
Institute of Management Studies (IMS) of DAVV would offer the programme in Hindi language.
While giving the information an official said, “Department of Official Language has given its nod to our proposal to run MBA programme in Hindi language. We have now sought permission from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to launch the programme.”
“The AICTE is a regulator for technical and management courses in the country. Without its permission, new MBA programmes can’t be introduced. We don’t think there would be any problems from the part of AICTE to give its approval on the proposal. The idea to run MBA programme in Hindi language came following long pending demands of students,” said the official.
“ Many students come to us and request to run MBA programme in Hindi language. We have accepted their demand and sent proposal to the AICTE. Once the permission is received, we will start the first MBA programme of the country in Hindi language,” he added further.
The DAVV has also planned to offer PhD course in management in Hindi language.
Right now only one PhD has been awarded in management studies in Hindi language by the DAVV.
