Indian Navy Aspirants Can Now Apply through Common Services Centre (CSC)
- Indian Navy and CSC e-governance will facilitate an online application process for aspirants willing to join the Indian Navy.
- Community Service Centres are ‘virtual touch points’ for enhancing or extending the recruitment outreach.
The aspirants of Indian Navy who are enthusiastic to serve the nation can now walk into any CSC (Common Service Centre) across the country to seek/ avail assistance in filling up online application forms to join Indian Navy. The service fee charged by CSC is just Rs. 60, which is very nominal. The CSC eases the application process and it is not mandatory for all the aspirants to seek the assistance of CSC.
On November 27, 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Chief of Personnel (Indian Navy), CEO of CSC e-Governance Services India Limited and Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology. The major objective of the MoU is to facilitate the online application process to join Indian Navy through CSC. The MoU provides an opportunity to applicants to avail benefit from the broad network of more than 2.5 lakh CSCs.

Through CSC, the applicants of Indian Navy will be assisted in filling up the application forms, scanning and uploading of mandatory documents and payment of application fee. Aspirants from rural or remote areas without proper internet connectivity will be benefitted through this initiative.
The Indian Navy will issue an advertisement regarding recruitment through CSC. The candidates may also utilise the services provided by e-KYC during recruitment across the country.
According to Indian Navy, CSCs are ‘virtual touch points’ for enhancing or extending the recruitment outreach. Apart from the current initiative, Indian Navy will also strengthen their cooperation with CSC e-Governance in promoting ‘Digital India’ initiative.
