<p>An 18-year-old Ramkumar Raman Indian-origin boy living in UAE has recently become the youngest CA affiliate with a global body for professional accountants.
He graduated from the Indian High School, Dubai, Ramkumar Raman will attain the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) membership once he will complete three years of qualified work experience, the Khaleej Times reported.
He has been recognised by officials in the ACCA Middle East as the youngest ACCA affiliate ever registered.
Among all other candidates, affiliates and members, Raman is registered as the youngest ACCA affiliate by the officials of Middle East. "As of now, Raman holds the record for the youngest ACCA affiliate in our records," Herriot Fitgerald, the ACCA Academic Advisor Middle East was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
The general aspirant of CA start their qualification journey at the age of 18 but at this age Raman has attained the degree of ACCA.
Raman went through all the three levels of examinations - The Knowledge module, Skills module and the Professional module totally making 14 papers. These papers are attempted over a span of three years.
"I began coaching for examinations in September 2012 and I wrote the final exam in June 2015. As far as my earlier previous exams are concerned, I don't think I performed that well. When it comes to marks, I scored 8.6 CGPA in grade 10 and an 87 percent in 12th," said Raman to media.
Adding further Raman said, "I would have lunch and sleep till 4 pm and get up again and start studying again from 4:30 pm till 8:15 again with breaks after which I'd have dinner and study again from 9 pm till 12 pm. Then I'd go to sleep.”
With his unprecedented feat, Raman has joined the ranks of Indian teens who have made India proud globally.
