National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has tied up with some popular quality networks and agencies from Asia, America, Africa, Australia, Europe, UK, and other countries to come up with a common standard for the assessment of Indian universities for international quality assurance. The performance related information of all higher education institutes will be provided on one portal.

These agencies will share and promote activities through conferences, workshops, staff exchange, virtual and communication technology. NAAC has been working rigorously to achieve these goals and has signed MoUs with accreditation bodies in Mauritius and Taiwan as well.

Director of NAAC, Prof. DP Singh said that there is a need to develop regional and global databases of prominent accreditation bodies and accredited higher education institutions. He also informed that links are being developed with existing quality analyzing organizations for this purpose. This will also help in promoting international student mobility.

Prof. Jianxin Zhang, President of APQN said that four continents coming together to uplift higher education and provide quality assurance is a big step. He said that the aim of these collaborations is to develop consultant database and use them to improve the quality of higher education in the region.

Judith Eaton, President of CHEA, said that internationalization will be very helpful for academic practices throughout the world. He also added that exchanging information and ideas to solve common issues will help enhance student learning outcomes, modes of education, academic freedom, international quality expectation and will be beneficial in setting up a single set of quality standards to analyze the education standards across the globe.
