<p>As part of student exchange programme initiated by Amity Educational Resource Centre (AERC), an International Get-together was organized for International Students from various schools of 7 countries at New Delhi.
The event witnessed the presence of a several dignitaries and delegations from different parts of the world including H.E Laimonas Talat Kelpsa, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania; H.E Mr Jozef Drofenik, Ambassador of Slovenia; Mr. Boris Jelovsek, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia; Mrs. Anne Marchal, First Counsellor and Head of Political Section European Union; Mr. Arnaud Gaspart, First Secretary Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium; Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Honorable Founder President, Amity group; Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools; Dr. Atul Chauhan, President , RBEF; representatives from various National and International organizations like UN Women, AFS Intercultural programs, MGEIP, IGNCA, Goethe Institute, Ritsumeikan Office, New Delhi; Heads of Departments and Principals from Amity Schools, guests from Amity University, parents and students.
The momentous evening put to record the global vision of the Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan who has always encouraged global partnerships and intercultural initiatives for students towards grooming global leaders.
The multifarious cultural programmes by various International Student Delegations from Switzerland, Denmark Germany, Slovakia and Italy were a wonderful glimpse of intercultural fusion. During the occasion, Swiss and Danish Students showcased folk dances. The eclectic evening also witnessed a melodious performance by the students of Amitasha – a dream project of the Chairperson to nurture the underprivileged girl child.
The awe-inspiring anchoring in 6 different languages by the students of Amity Saket caught the attention of all.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Anne Marchal, First Counsellor and Head of Political Section European Union commended Amity for providing International students numerous opportunities towards their holistic development. She further added that Amity has a strong and self-sustaining exchange programmes which enhance the academic standards, knowledge, skills and cultural exposure of students and faculty alike.
H.E Laimonas Talat Kelpsa, Ambassador Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania and H.E Mr Jozef Drofenik, Ambassador of Slovenia lauded the unique and purposeful endeavor of the Amity Schools towards promoting intercultural relationships.
Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan Founder President, Amity University in his encouraging address highlighted the endeavor of the Amity family towards molding the young minds as global citizens.
During the occasion, Ms. Jyoti Arora, Director, AERC presented an insight into uniqueness and exclusivity of the International programs in Amity Schools which makes them so special.
