The 75 percent hike was opposed by the students, parents and political parties. IP University is a government aided university and last time the fee revised by them was in the year 2011 which tells that it is time for another revision. The University said that the new fee is only for students who will take admission in the year 2016 and after that and not for students who are already studying at the university. They also claim that even after the revision their fee is a lot less than other Government Technical Universities.
