IRMA Placements 2018: Rohtak’s Viney Dua Bags Highest Salary Package
- Rohtak’s Viney Dua grabs highest salary at IRMA Placements and will soon start job with Singapore-based Tolaram Group.
- The institute recorded 100% placement with substantial rise in both average and median salaries offered.
Viney Dua, a native of Rohtak in Haryana, has raised the benchmark of placements at IRMA. Viney bagged the highest salary package worth Rs. 47 lakh per annum at IRMA placements 2018. The 26-year-old will soon be working with Singapore based agri-business operations firm, Tolaram Group, that rolled out the package
Before getting enrolled at Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) – the premier rural management institute in India – Viney pursued B.Tech degree from YMCA Faridabad. He also founded a start-up to work for grass-roots causes prior to joining IRMA.
Talking about the institute, Viney said that IRMA is known for the foundation causes it works for and its people who are willing to devote their skills to offer professional assistance for developing neglected sectors of the society.

IRMA recorded 100% placement for the 37th year in a row. The average salary offered in the private sector this season was Rs. 12.17 lakh per annum whereas last year it was Rs. 10.57 lakhs per annum. The overall average salary was Rs. 9.42 lakh p.a. and the median salary also increased as compared to the last session.
A total of 18 students received pre-placement offers. Following the trend of placements 2016-17 at IRMA, GCMMF — India’s largest co-operative federation — became the largest recruiting firm at 2018 placements.

Many international agri-business organisations also recruited students from IRMA apart from Tolaram. These included multinational corporations such as Afriventures, ADM, Kancor, Godrej Agro, ITC, Cargill, Zuari, Mars International and various others. Many of the lucrative offers were also rolled out by banking and finance agencies.
