The National Testing Agency (NTA) has removed the minimum 75% criteria from the eligibility criteria. Now, there is no minimum percentage required to be eligible for the JEE Main 2022 Exam. However, candidates must have passed class 12th in 2020, 2021, or will be sitting for the 2022 exam. All the candidates who will be participating in the mains examination should check the JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria before applying.

Although the NTA has removed the 75 criteria from JEE 2022, candidates pursuing the Architecture & Planning program must get a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination's aggregate. The last date to fill out the application form for session 1 is March 31, 2022. This year there will only be two attempts of Main Exam; in April and May. 

Top Highlights of the 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has highlighted the following changes in the 2022 eligibility criteria. 

  • The top 2,50,000 applicants who pass the Mains exam in 2022 will be eligible to take the Advanced exam. 
  • Applicants will be permitted to take the exam two times in two years
  • Applicants must pass the class 12th test in either 2020 or 2021 or 2022, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.
  • There is no minimum age limit required for the 2022 mains exam.
