ISB and Coursera Jointly Come Up with Two New Specialisations

Indian School of Business (ISB) and online education portal - Coursera has launched two new specializations. The first one is meant for people in the IT industry while the second specialization is meant for people in the financial market sector.

These two new courses are:

• Business Technology Management (BTM)
• Trading Strategies in Emerging Markets

These programs will be offered by ISB through Coursera. The program will give knowledge to the learners in designing trading strategies and techniques in the financial markets. The duration will be of six months.

Business Technology Management program has been designed for IT professionals. It will allow the individuals to examine how technology works, in the wake of business requirement. Through the program, the individuals will learn how they can make use of technology for a business’s innovation and transformation. The focus areas are-

• Technology consulting
• IT leadership
• IT functions and the IT industry
• IT program and project management.

Candidates are also expected to learn about five-course specialization consisting of the following topics:

• Digital Transformations
• Accounting and Finance for IT Managers
• Business Analytics and Digital Media
• Leadership and Emotional Intelligence
• IT Project Management

Besides that participants will also acquire knowledge on leadership skills, IT domain, management, team building skills and functional and analytic skills. All these skills will help them in their career graph- as great leaders and managers.

Trading strategies in the emerging markets program are especially beneficial for individual investors and money managers. The program will help an individual in equipping skills required for developing, measuring and assessing their strategies on trading. They will learn about the following functional areas like-

• Trading Algorithm and Trading Risks
• Trading Basics
• Trading Strategies - Creating a Portfolio
• Trading Strategies - Backtesting and Performance Evaluation

After the completion of the specialization certificate, candidates have to develop a Capstone Project and they are expected to develop new trading strategies, use the tactics taught in the course.
