ISB Hyderabad Placements 2020: 1,383 Job Offers on Day 1
Average CTC offered on Day 1 stood at Rs 26.15 lakh and recorded a 124 per cent increase from the CTC offered in previous year, which stood at Rs 25 lakh.
The Hyderabad-based Indian School of Business released a report on the 2020 placements for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) batch which clearly shows that there's been a 15% rise in the number of job offers.
The economic deceleration in the country seems to not have affected the placement at the B-school. On Day 1, job offers stood at 1,383 while the same was at 1,194 last year. Average CTC offered on Day 1 stood at Rs 26.15 lakh and recorded a 124 per cent increase from the CTC offered in the previous year, which stood at Rs 25 lakh.
Around 231 companies are visiting the school for recruitments this year. PGP students have around two to twenty years of prior work experience.
A wide range of sectors like IT/ITES/Technology, Consulting, BFSI, E-Commerce, Education, Healthcare, Real Estate and Infrastructure, Media and Entertainment, FMCG/Retail, and Global Capability Centres were seen hiring. Consulting firms made the highest per cent (22.75%) of offers.
Offers in functions like product management, operations, sales and marketing, planning/general management were proposed.

Consulting recruiters made a total of 314 job offers, which comprised Bain & Company, Dalberg, Siemens Management Consulting, PWC DIAC, PWC India, Accenture, Deloitte USI, Deloitte India, E&Y, McKinsey & Company, EY Parthenon, Roland Berger, Alvarez and Marsal, ZS Associates, Bain & Company, KPMG, Boston Consulting Group, Dalberg, GEP, and Siemens Management Consulting.
Participating companies from e-commerce, technology and IT/ITES sectors included Blackbuck, Electronic Arts, Google, Microsoft, Nagarro Software, Ola, PhonePe, Udaan, VMWare, Flipkart, ADP, InMobi, Nykaa, RazorPay, Byju’s, ADP, Mfine, Media.Net Software Services, ThoughtWorks, Microsoft, Myntra, Uber and Zomato.
Chandan Chowdury, Senior Associate Dean at ISB said that the Day 1 of this year's placements has been the "best-ever". 884 out of 890 students took part in the placements and 85% accepted jobs offered to them.
Job offers for women leadership have also recorded a notable upswing with a number of companies including Axis Bank. The 2020 PGP batch of the institute at 39% has the largest representation of women, he pointed out.
