ISC English Literature Answer Key 2024: Today, February 13, 2024, was the second day of ISC Class 12 board exam 2024. As per the schedule, ISC English Paper 2 exam 2024 was conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM. The answer key for all the objective questions asked in the test have been made available here. Through ISC English Paper 2 answer key 2024, candidates will be able to determine the score they can obtain from the objective section, and likewise evaluate their chances of passing the test.

At the end of the Masque in Act IV, Scene i of the play, The Tempest, Ferdinand feels that Prospero's behaviour is unusual because Prospero abruptly interrupts the joyful celebration and the masque, indicating that his intentions are more serious and consequential.

(iii)In Act III, Scene ii of the play, The Tempest, upon hearing the music of Ariel, Stephano says that the island will prove to be a "brave kingdom" to him because Stephano is easily influenced by the magical and enchanting atmosphere created by Ariel's music, leading him to believe that the island will offer him power and prosperity.

In Act V, Scene I of the play, The Tempest, the Boatswain does not remember how he arrived at Prospero's cell because he has been under the influence of Prospero's enchantments, which may have caused him to forget certain events or details.

In the short story, B. Wordsworth, when the narrator's mother refuses to buy B. Wordsworth's poem, B. Wordsworth remarks "It is the poet's tragedy" because B. Wordsworth feels rejected and unappreciated, highlighting the common struggle of poets whose works are not valued or understood by society.

In the short story, The Story of an Hour, it is Josephine who breaks the tragic news of Brently Mallard's death to Mrs Mallard because Josephinewaschosen by the family to deliver the news with sensitivity, believing that she would be able to console Mrs Mallard and help her cope with the shock.

In the short story, Fritz, Jayanto is told by his uncle to address the doll as Fritz because Jayanto's uncle wants him to believe that the doll is alive and could respond to him, fostering Jayanto's imagination and emotional attachment to the doll.

(viii)

In the poem, John Brown, John Brown drops his medals into his mother's hands because he realizes the futility and emptiness of war honours and seeks solace and comfort in his mother's love and understanding.

(ix)

In the poem, The Darkling Thrush, the poet uses the words "evensong' and "carolling" to describe the thrush's song because these words evoke religious and festive imagery, emphasizing the contrast between the bleakness of the winter landscape and the hopeful, celebratory nature of the thrush's song.

(x)

In the poem "Birches," the poet observes that the birches are bent because they have been weighed down by ice storms or perhaps by boys swinging on them, which causes them to bend gracefully back to their original position.
