Kolkata ISC Topper Richa Singh Turns Senior Cop for a Day
After the ISC Examination Results for 2019 were released on 7th May 2019, Richa Singh secured the fourth position in All India Rank with 99.25%. She was commended for the achievement by being appointed as the Honorary Deputy Commissioner.
Richa Singh, the student who secured the fourth position in the ISC (Class 12) examinations this year, was given the honour of being appointed as the Honorary Deputy Commissioner of South Eastern Division for the Kolkata Police for six hours. She had been sitting at this position from 6 a.m. to 12 noon
Richa Singh was a student of GD Birla Centre for Education and was able to secure the fourth rank with 99.25% marks in the ISC examinations 2019, the results of which were declared on the 7th of May 2019. In honour of this achievement, the DC (ESD) Kalyan Mukherjee awarded the daughter of Rajesh Singh, Officer-in-Charge at Gariahat Police Station, by allowing her to be OC of different police stations.
Richa Singh was allowed to do as she was the boss for the day, was to give orders to the Officers who fall under her, which also included her father. When she was asked the order she had in mind for her father, she responded by saying that she will order her father to return home earlier than he usually did. After being ordered to do so, her father did obey the orders that were given by his daughter.

Rajesh Kumar Singh had commented saying that he was extremely pleased with the results that his daughter had achieved for her ISC examinations this year. He further added that he couldn’t express his happiness to see his daughter become his “superior” for the day.

Sources state that Richa Singh wishes to pursue a course in History or Sociology. She also added that she plans on appearing for the UPSC examinations.
