IT Cell of NASSCOM Signs MoU with JIS University & JIS Group
To launch ‘Employability Enhancement Programs’ (EEP), JIS University & JIS Group has signed MoU with IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council NASSCOM (SSC NASSCOM).
As to launch ‘Employability Enhancement Programs’ (EEP) JIS University & JIS Group has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council of NASSCOM (SSC NASSCOM)
JIS Group is one one of the largest educational groups in India. Keeping in view the requirement and demand of IT & ITeS industries in near future, the education group has been chosen by NASSCOM for the first time in Eastern India for such an initiative.

The academic programs developed by SSC NASSCOM are ‘Foundation Skills in Information Technology’ (FSIT), and Qualification Pack (Job Role) based programs.
Under the MoU, SSC NASSCOM will offer multiple help such as:
- Student selection
- Faculty selection
- Infrastructure for training and evaluation
- Assessment & certification process
- Enhance employability skills of students
Managing Director, JIS Group, Sardar Taranjit Singh said the MoU is no doubt a monumental initiative and it will be etched in the history of the University. JIS always wants that all students who seek jobs after completion of their studies should be employable. Gradually the demand-supply gap of the skilled workforce gets cemented. JIS is glad to be the 1st partner of such an initiative and convey its thanks and gratitudes to SSC NASSCOM.

The Executive Director, SSC NASSCOM and Vice President, NASSCOM Dr. Sandhya Chintala said that such collaboration with academia will help in developing a skilled ready workforce for the IT-BPM industry. As per the National Skills Mission, about 350 million professionals would be required by 2022 to be skilled to become employable. To achieve this goal a structured approach with all stakeholders is needed. The skills gap have to be minimised through a comprehensive effort at different levels, catering to the needs of the industry and society at large.”
