Jain Group of Institutions to Set Up Three New Universities
JGI will soon be establishing 1 university in Jharkhand and 2 universities abroad.
With the aim to expand its boundaries to not only in India but abroad as well, The Jain Group of Institutions (JGI) has decided to establish three more universities. The group will now have one of their universities in Jharkhand and two universities overseas. To set up these campuses the group will be investing upto Rs. 1500 crore in these institutions.
According to Chenraj Roychand, Chairman of Jain Gupta Group of Institutions, the institute which will soon be set up in Jharkhand, will be the first private university in the mineral-rich Kolhan region. Also, the group will be investing about Rs.200-Rs.500 crore in the establishment of each institute, therefore amounting up to a total investment of at least Rs. 1500 crore.

Yesterday, a meeting about the same was held between the JGI Chairman and Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das. The meeting was conducted in Ranchi. In the meeting, Roychand explained that for setting up the institute, the group will require three acres of land which has already been identified for the purpose.

The other two institutes will be set up in Africa and Australia. In Africa, the university will be set up in Rwanda and Melbourne. For each of the above-mentioned institutes, the group will be investing Rs 500 crores.
