Jamia Millia Islamia Organises 7th Edition of National Moot Court Competition
The winners of the National Moot Court Competition have been awarded Rs. 30,000.
Jamila Millia Islamia organised the Seventh Edition of National Moot Court competition for law students from March 17 to March 19, 2017. It was a three-day competition where a total number of 32 teams participated. The selection of these 32 teams was made from a plethora of applications. A Memorial Elimination Round was conducted and 32 teams made it to the final round.
The winners of the National Moot Court Competition have been awarded Rs. 30,000. The varsity also awarded cash prizes to the participants in different categories. Students of Faculty of Law, Jamila Millia Islamia, organised the event and Dr. Nuzhat Parveen Khan, Dean of Faculty of Law, supervised it.

There were four rounds in the event. The preliminary and quarter-final rounds were conducted on March 18, 2017. On the other hand, the semi-finals and finals took place on March 19, 2017. A total number of 32 teams were selected for the final round.
The event witnessed the participation of renowned law schools across India that included National Law University, Odisha, National Law University, Gujarat, Amity Law School, Lucknow, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad and ILS, Pune.

The following cash prizes were awarded as a part of National Moot Court Competition: -
- The team that won in the competition was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 30,000.
- Runner-ups bagged a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 each.
- A cash prize of Rs. 5,000 each was awarded to the Best Speaker Male Advocate and Best Speaker Female Advocate.
- A cash prize of Rs. 5,000 was awarded to the Best Researcher.
- The Best Memorial Team bagged a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.
