Jammu University Establishes 3 Centres for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development
The University of Jammu has set up 3-centres for the Entrepreneurship & Skills Development with the funding of RUSA. The Centres for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development will help solve the shortage of jobs.
Rashtriya Uchchchatar Shiksha Abhiyaan (RUSA) has selected the Jammu University for the 100 crore funding and to promote excellence in education, Jammu University has set up three Entrepreneurship & Skills Development centres. The main focus of RUSA is also to establish the entrepreneurship and skill development centres. RUSA is designed to enhance and improve the quality of education through research, teaching, skills & entrepreneurship skills and to mentor & upgrade other institutions. Apart from JU, ten other universities have been granted funding by RUSA.
Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, said they had established three such centres for the business incubation, innovative ideas, industry interface and more. He also said that they would also concentrate on the entrepreneurship & Skills Development skills and will create job creators rather than job seekers.
He further informed that the students work hard to get jobs which match their skill set. However, there is a shortage of jobs. Through the Centres for Entrepreneurship, and skill Development students will get a chance to enhance their employable skills.
