Jammu University Prepares for Better NAAC Grade
Jammu University is eyeing an A++ rank from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the upcoming round. The new VC of the university, Manoj K Dhar said that the institute will focus more on academic qualification and research.
Manoj K Dhar has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu. The varsity is preparing and working towards attainingan A++ rank in the upcoming National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
During his first interaction with the university officials and other members, he asked all the stakeholders to contribute to the development of the varsity and to work towards enhancing the academic standing of the university.

He further talked about improving the quality of education and to focus on research projects. According to him, quality of education and research are two important factors for determining excellence of the institute.
The new Vice-Chancellor of the varsity was given a warm welcome by the university directors, deans, faculty members, officials, head of the departments, student representatives and scholars.

He concluded his welcome speech by stressing the need to implement 17×17 initiatives of MHRD. He asked everyone to come together and work towards improving the quality of education, research and infrastructure of the varsity. At last, he asked the head of departments to prepare the students in such a way that it increases their employability and makes them future-ready.
The varsity will also focus on improving infrastructure and providing better placement opportunities and internship programmes to the students.
