Jammu University to Conduct Final Semester Exams for UG Courses from Sept 15
The University of Jammu will conduct the final semester examinations of UG courses from September 15, 2020. The exams will take be held in conventional mode, i.e. offline mode.
The University of Jammu will conduct the final semester examinations of UG courses from September 15, 2020. The varsity has released the official notification stating that the exams will be held in the conventional mode only i.e. offline mode.
The end terminal/ semester exams of UG courses and their theory examinations will begin from September 15 and the exams will take place as per the guidelines of UGC and the Supreme Court. The university officials organised a meeting with the nodal principals of all the colleges affiliated to Jammu University and took the decision that the exam will take place in offline mode only. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, students will be given certain relaxations:
Students will have to attempt only 40% of the total number of questions from the entire question paper irrespective of the Units/ Sections. This is only a one-time exception.
The varsity decided to conduct the exams in the second week of September as the Apex Court has ordered all the state to wrap up the final year exams for university/ college students. The exam should be held as per the guidelines of UGC latest by September 30th, 2020. The university has assured all the students that all measures related to COVID-19 will strictly adhere and exam centers will be disinfected.
The sitting arrangement of the students will be planned to keep in mind the social distancing. The university is working on the exam centers and will ensure that the SOPs and guidelines issued by the J&K Government are adhered to.
