Javadekar to Convene Meeting with State Education Ministers to Discuss Paper Leak Issue
- HRD Ministry will convene a meeting of all state education ministers to discuss the issue of question paper leak and figure out solutions for the same.
- Not only CBSE, other state board question papers have also been leaked in this exam season.
Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia urged the Union HRD Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar to convene a meeting of all state education ministers to hold a discussion on CBSE paper leak and take steps to regulate such issues in future.
Mr. Sisodia wrote a letter to HRD Minister stating that there is a need to move beyond party politics on such issues. Whenever a question paper of any board is leaked, the negative consequences are to be faced by the country and not just for one party or government. Two exams have already been cancelled due to question paper leak rasing concerns over the confidentiality of question papers of other boards as well. Therefore, a meeting shall be conducted to figure out solutions for the issue, he stated.

CBSE students, particularly Class 12 Economics students across the nation have been deeply disappointed with the board’s decision to hold a re-exam. On the other hand, students from various parts are also demanding CBSE roll back its decision to conduct re-exam for Class 10 Maths. There is no clarity on the Maths re-exam, while Class 12 Economics re-exam will be conducted on April 25, 2018.
