Javadekar to Meet IIM Directors to Discuss New Education Policy
To form the new education policy, Javadekar will meet the directors of higher education institutes.
Next month i.e. September’ 16 the HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar has a meeting with all the IIM directors to discuss all the issues related to the Indian Institute of Management. The HRD Ministry is in a process to form a new education policy and this meeting will really help the ministry. The officials said that the meeting is scheduled to come up with solutions to help the education system in India grow.
Following are the main issues that will be discussed in the meeting:
- Quality of Education
- Affordability
- Global Standings
- How to make education affordable
- How to make education accessible

This brainstorming and idea session will help the ministry to make a policy which will resolve the issues that are keeping institutes from reaching the global level, it will also help explore avenues for financing and improving the quality of education. The ministry has announced that the HRD Minister will meet all the heads of higher education institutes which are financed by the Union Government.

After this meeting, Prakash Javadekar will also meet the directors of following institutes:
- National Institute of Technology
- Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research
