JEE Main 2022: 10 New Changes Introduced This Year
The registration process for JEE Main 2022 has begun and it will end on March 31. Here is the list of significant changes incorportaed in JEE Main 2022.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the registration process for JEE Main 2022. The application forms can be availed by the candidates on the official website of JEE Main 2022. The registration process will end on March 31 and the deadline to submit the application fee is also March 31. NTA has incorporated several changes to JEE Main 2022 application form and the exam procedure for this year. JEE Main 2022 will be conducted across 2 sessions instead of 4 with session 1 scheduled between April 16 to 21 and session 2 from May 24 to 29.
Here are 10 new significant developments in JEE Main 2022, compared to the last year -
- During registration, in the first session, only session 1 (April) will be visible, and session 2 (May) will be visible shortly before the exam.
- Both sections A (MCQs) and B (numerical value questions) will come under negative marking and section B will comprise of additional questions.
- Candidates will have to enter the OTP received at their registered mobile numbers during registration and they are required to enter the OTP received at their registered e-mail address before the submission of the application fees.
- The permanent and present addresses provided during registration will determine the choice of exam cities for the test.
- It is mandatory to provide annual family income data in the JEE Main 2022 application form.
- After the registration process is completed and the results are declared, a copy of the confirmation page and the final scorecard will be sent to the registered email addresses of the candidates.
- SANDES app can be installed by the candidates to receive notifications from the NTA.
- The updated application process comprises of three steps: Step 1 - registration form, Step 2 - application form (filling of personal information, applying for examination cities, qualification data, additional details, and document upload) and Step 3 - fee payment.
- A voluntary field has been added in the application form for the AADHAR number of the candidates. Platforms such as UMANG and DigiLocker can be used by the candidates to download their documents like confirmation page, admit card, and scorecard.
- Physically handicapped candidates will be given scribes by the NTA.
