Expected Rank for 50 Percentile in JEE Main 2023: The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main result 2023 for Session 2 today in the percentile format. Since the JEE Main session 2 exam has been held in multiple shifts and the difficulty level of the questions was not the same, therefore, the authority will follow the normalized method to calculate the score. It will be helpful to maintain parity in the JEE Main result of the students. Kindly note, the percentile marks are not the actual marks but the comparative score.
NTA will convert the raw marks of JEE Marks to a percentile score. Once the JEE Main Percentile 2023 will be released only after releasing the result. Before that, the candidates can refer to the previous years’ trends to get an idea about the percentile vs marks.

Use of JEE Main Percentile to Calculate JEE Rank 2023
When NTA will compile the JEE Main merit list and the JEE Main ranks of the students, then the total marks and the subject-wise percentile score will be considered.
- The candidates, who will get a higher percentile score, will get higher preferences
- If the tie will persist, then the higher percentile score in Mathematics will be considered
- If still, the tie will persist, then the higher percentile score in Physics will be considered and those candidates will get a higher rank
- Again if the tie will persist, then the candidates with a higher percentile score in Chemistry will get higher preferences
- Apart from that if the candidates will appear both for session 1 and session 2, then the authority will consider the best of the two total percentile score
