JEE Main 2023: Know who is eligible to register for the exam
JEE Main 2023 eligibility criteria as given by the NTA have been mentioned here in detail. It is expected that JEE Main 2023 notification will be released in November or December.
JEE Main 2023: The Joint Entrance Examination, popularized as JEE, is an engineering entrance examination held for undergraduate engineering (B.E/B.Tech) and undergraduate architecture (B.Arch/B.Planning) admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. JEE is carried out in two stages: Main and Advanced. JEE Main is the foremost examination to be given to be eligible for JEE Advanced. So, who is eligible for JEE Main?
The National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, is entrusted to conduct JEE Main examination each year and the detailed JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2023 as given by the NTA is provided here.

The qualifications required to appear for JEE Main 2023 exam are as follows:
Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit to appear for JEE Main 2023.
- However, the institutes to which the candidates take admission may have an upper age limit. It is advised to check the same before applying.
Qualifying Examination:
- The candidates who are appearing for 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2023 are eligible for JEE Main 2023. Those who have qualified in 10+2 or equivalent examinations in 2021 & 2022 are also eligible.
- Candidates appearing (2023)/qualified (2021 & 2022) for an exam recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) at any Public School/ Board/ University examination in any foreign country are also eligible.

JEE Main 2023: List of Courses
NTA conducts JEE Main in three papers: Paper 1 is for B.E/B.Tech, Paper 2A is for B.Arch, while Paper 2B is for B.Planning.
- B.Tech Paper 1 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and their syllabus is prominently based on the CBSE board.
- B.Arch Paper 2A subjects: Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test.
- B.Planning Paper 2B subjects: Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning-Based Questions
All papers will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours for regular candidates while a duration of 4 hours will be given for PwD candidates.
