JEE Main 2024 Shift 2 Exam Analysis January 31: With the conduct of Shift 2, NTA has concluded Day 4 of Session 1 examination for JEE Main 2024 (Paper 1) today, January 31, 2024. The detailed analysis for each subject will be outlined here based on the responses received by candidates. As per NTA JEE Main 2024 exam pattern, 30 questions each will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Overall Day 4 Shift 2 exam was Moderate to Difficult. As usual, Mathematics was Lengthy but was easier compared to earlier exam days. In Physics formulae-based questions were a bit tricky and 8 to 9 questions were doable.Chemistry was Easy and in this shift, Physical Chemistry dominated the section. The overall test weightage for JEE Main B.E/B. Tech (Paper 1) is 300 marks. For each subject, there will be two sections in the question paper, Section A will comprise multiple-choice questions, and Section B will comprise numerical questions. All 20 questions in Section A are compulsory while In Section B, out of 10 questions, only 5 questions are to be answered.

JEE Main 2024 Shift 2 First Reactions January 31

The first reactions of the students for the morning shift on 31 January 2024 will be updated here after the conclusion of the exam:

  • As per test takers, the overall paper was a bit unpredictable and was Moderate to Difficult level.
  • The level of Chemistry was Easy like earlier exam days and shifts.
  • The Mathematics was Lengthy.  Overall the section was difficult
  • Physics was easy and questions were mostly based on numericals.
  • Kinematics and Electrostatics dominated the Chemistry section.
  • Questions from Functions were asked the most.
  • 2 questions were asked from complex numbers.
  • Fewer questions were asked from Reactions.
  • In Physics questions from Assertion Reason were calculative.
  • Question from Gravitation was easy.
  • 3-4 questions were asked from Conic.
  • Mathematics section was challenging and time-consuming like other shifts.
  • No change in the paper pattern was observed.
  • Physical Chemistry questions were more compared to Inorganic Chemistry.
  • In Mathematics on average attempted 10 to 12 questions.
  • Questions from PYQs were more in Day 4 Shift 2.
