NTA has announced a revised JEE Main 2025 exam pattern. Know the changes and important information related to the new exam pattern on the page below. Changes are only suggested to Section B.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern Changed: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed JEE Main 2025 exam pattern. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 10 questions appeared from Section B in JEE Main 2025 examination but candidates had to answer only 5. From 2025 onwards, Section B will comprise only 5 questions per subject, and candidates will be required to answer all questions mandatorily. This time, there will be no options for selection in JEE Main 2025 for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), Paper 2 A (B. Arch) and Paper 2 B (B Planning).
The detailed exam pattern is yet to be announced by the officials. The other sections will remain the same until notified by the authorities at www.nta.ac.in.

The key highlights of JEE Main 2025 revised exam pattern are as follows:
The authorities will follow the exam pattern as it was before COVID-19 after the UN WHO declaration on COVID-19, as the end of the Public Health Emergency on May 5, 2023.
Unlike the pandemic years, Section B will have 5 questions per subject, and all of them will be mandatory to answer.
Candidates will not get 10 questions for each subject, where they have to answer any 5. The number of questions will be limited to 5 only.
JEE Main 2025 Expected Exam Pattern
Considering the exam pattern that has been followed throughout, and the new change, candidates can expect the 100-mark question to come from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. A total of 25 questions will appear from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry each. Section A will comprise 20 questions, and Section B will comprise 5 questions. Each question will be of 4 marks, and hence the marks weightage for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combining both sections will be (20+5)*4=100 each. The total marks of the paper will be 300.
