JEE Main July 28 Shift 1 Analysis: Shift 1 of JEE Main 2022 Session 2 has been conducted on July 28, 2022, and the overall difficulty level of the exam will be updated on this page as the exam is over. The JEE Main exam is being carried out in two shifts per day of three hours duration each. Shift 1, is being conducted from 9 AM to 12 Noon at the JEE Main exam centres in a computer-based format. The question paper for JEE Main 2022 examination is based on three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) which hold an equal weightage of 30 questions each. For every subject, 25 questions out of these Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) while the remaining 5 questions are Numerical Aptitude Type (NAT) questions. However, 10 NAT questions are asked out of which only five are to be answered. As is known, JEE Mains exam has negative marking and so as per the given rules, a -1 mark will be deducted as a penalty for every incorrectly marked answer while +4 marks will be awarded for accurately marked answers.

Major Highlights of JEE Main July 28 Shift 1 Analysis (First Reaction)

The first reaction of students after the JEE Main July 28 Shift 1 exam is as follows -

  • The overall difficulty level of today's Shift 1 exam was moderate to difficult
  • The Physics and Chemistry sections were moderate according to students
  • Most Questions were of NCERT Level and most topics from grades 11 and 12 were covered in today's shift 1 exam
  • Students found Mathematics to be Difficult and very lengthy to solve
  • Compared to Math and Physics, students rated the Chemistry section to be the easiest.
  • The majority of the questions were from NCERT.  
  • Both numerical and multiple-choice questions were used in physical chemistry exams.
