JEE Main 31 January 2023 Shift 2 Question Paper Analysis (Available): Unofficial Answer Key, Expert Solutions
Day 6 of JEE Main 2023 shift 2 exam was conducted on January 31, from 3 pm to 6 pm. The candidates can check out the topic wise weightage, difficulty level of the paper and question paper analysis of shift 2 exam here.
JEE Main 31 January 2023 shift 2 exam has been conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. Unlike the shift 1 exam, the PwD candidates of the shift 2 exam have been given an additional one hour to complete the exam. However, the shift 2 question paper analysis, topic-wise weightage, and memory-based questions will be analyzed immediately after 6 pm, once the students will share their feedback after leaving the exam centre.
As per the JEE Main 2023 exam pattern, the candidates were asked a total of 90 questions on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (30 questions each). Each subject comprised 20 multiple-choice questions and 10 numerical aptitude questions. The candidates can also refer to the JEE Main 2023 exam marking scheme here-
- For every correct answer, +4 marks will be rewarded
- For every wrong answer, -1 mark will be deducted

JEE Main 31 January 2023 Shift 2 Exam: Major Highlights
Shift 2 analysis of today’s exam has been shared based on the candidate’s feedback immediately after the exam is over.
- The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate
- Chemistry as usual was relatively easy and physics was easy to moderate
- Mathematics paper was moderate and lengthy while being tricky
- Physics paper was formula based and conceptual as well
- Chemistry was NCERT based
- Maths section was dominated by the 12th class syllabus

Since JEE Main 2023 exam is being held online mode, therefore, based on the candidates’ feedback, memory-based questions has been added. Also, the unofficial answer key will be published.
