JEE Main 6 April Shift 1 Question Paper Analysis: JEE Main 6 April Shift 1 was conducted from 9AM to 12 Noon. The National Testing Agency is conducting the second and final session of JEE Main 2023 exam from April 6 to 12, 2023. Today highlights the first day of the exam and it is being held for B.E/B.Tech Paper 1. As followed during the previous session, each day is divided into two shifts. As the JEE Main 6 April Shift 1 was conducted, the reviews of the students is highlighted here. However, after collecting the memory-based questionnaire, a more detailed assessment of topic-wise weightage and segregation of these questions as per their difficulty level will also be given.

The examination scheme continues the same in April session 2. All three subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics have a weightage of 30 questions each in JEE Main 2023. There will be negative marking as well. Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted if the answer is found incorrect. Do note that as the questions will be purely memory-based, the tally of topic-wise weightage may or may not add to 30 questions per subject. We will provide the distribution analysis from the most questions we get.

JEE Main 6 April 2023 Shift 1 Major Highlights

The opinions of the students who appeared for JEE Main April 6 Shift 1 is listed below.
  • The overall difficulty level of the exam was considered to be easy to moderate
  • Compared to Session 1 question paper Day  1 Shift 1 was easy 
  • The Chemistry section in the JEE Main Day 1 Exam was Easy to Moderate
  • As per the first reaction the physics section was easy
  • Mathematics section was considered to be lengthy and difficult, especially with the NAT section
  • Chemistry too was tougher than January with more weightage on Physical Chemistry
  • Many questions in Chemistry section was from the paper were NCERT based
  • Organic chemistry had more weightage compared to inorganic chemistry
  • Physical chemistry questions were mainly integer based numerical question
  • The Physics Section was formula based and doable
  • The Mathematics section was easy compared to the previous session exam
  • Physics was said to be at NEET-level, tougher than Session 1
  • MCQ section of Chemistry was considered to be easy
  • There were few match the following questions in Chemistry section

JEE Main 6 April 2023 Unofficial Question Answer Key

As the exam was conducted as a computer-based test, the question paper remains unavailable until the release of the response sheets after the paper. However, the memory-based questions will help the students of upcoming shifts with relevant practice questions and it is advised that they at least make a quick go-through of these questions. The students who appeared for the exam can check out the answer key for the same as well.
