JEE Main Dress Code January 2023: Know what to wear, important instructions

JEE Main 2023 exam January exam will be started on January 24, 2023. Candidates are advised to follow the dress codes along with the other instructions inside the hall.

JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam will be started tomorrow, January 24, 2023. Candidates are advised to follow the dress codes while they go to the examination centre. The National Testing Agency has specified the dress codes for the male and female candidates of the JEE Main 2023 exam. It is necessary to carry the admit card to the examination hall and to wear the prescribed dress code, otherwise, they will not get permission to sit for the exam. On the other hand, the exam-conducting authority has postponed the JEE Main 24th and 25th January exams at Kurushetra, which will be held on January 31 and February 1.

JEE Main Dress Code for Male and Female Candidates

It is necessary to follow the dress code of the candidates while they visit the JEE Main exam centres-

Male Candidates:

  • Candidates should not wear any cloth consisting of any metallic items, since these items are causing problems during the frisking and hence, the same should be avoided
  • Do not wear any cap/ muffler or any other cloth over the head
  • Candidates should wear light weighted comfortable clothes for avoiding any discomfort during the written exam
  • Candidates should not wear any kind of jewelry or ornaments to the exam hall
  • Do not wear any goggles, bracelets, rings, or any other accessories

Female Candidates:

  • The female candidates should not wear any stole or dupatta or scarf to the examination hall
  • Like the male candidates, the female candidates also should not need to wear any kind of jewelry or ornaments, goggles, rings, bracelets, etc
  • The female candidates should wear light and comfortable clothes considering the weather and season of the examination day

Note, follow the dress code at the exam centre is essential for avoiding unwanted attention to themselves. And the candidates can maintain the proper decorum of the exam centre.
