Sheer love for Mathematics prompted him to take up Computer Science Engineering, says JEE Main 2020 topper from Haryana Divyanshu Agarwal.
Hisar lad Divyanshu Aggarwal achieved a gigantic feat on Sunday when he became one of the 9 out of the 9 lakhs to secure a 100 percentile score in the JEE Mains 2020 (January) exam. After achieving this indubious feat in his maiden attempt, he wants to join an IIT and pursue Computer Science Engineering even though he belongs from a family of doctors. He says that his undeterred love for Mathematics is the main reason behind his decision to pursue Computer Science Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Although his family persuaded him to go with medicine study, they have been very supportive when they saw his inclination towards mathematics remarked Divyanshu. The 18-year old is all set to become the first Engineer in a family dominated by doctors.
A self-motivated person, Divyanshu was preparing for the JEE Advanced and JEE Mains for the past two years. He credits his advanced thinking of studying for the understanding of the subject for his success at the JEE Mains 2020 (January) exam. He studied for a minimum of 5 to 6 hours on a daily basis throughout his preparation period. He also said that the very idea of studying for the sake of an exam seemed absurd to him. He believes that to succeed in an all-important exam like JEE Mains or JEE advanced, the aspirants must study more than what is in the syllabus just.

In addition to these, he also joined a coaching class to serve the purpose of solving mock tests.
