JEE Main January 2023 Day 1 Shift 2: National Testing agency has successfully conducted the 24th January 2023 Shift 2 exam between 3 PM to 6 PM. The shift 2 paper was moderately similar to the shift 1 paper. But students gave mixed releases on both the physics and chemistry sections. While in the morning session most students said that the physics was moderate to difficult in shift 2 the aspirant found physics to be easy to moderate. As per the review received by Mohit Tyagi, candidates found mathematics to be a bit difficult compared to physics and chemistry. Many said that the math section was moderate to difficult. Whereas the chemistry section reaction was shocking as everyone was expecting it to be easy but as per the reaction received students found chemistry to be easy to moderate. Whereas when it comes to physics the reaction was positive as the physics section was comparatively easier than Shift 1. Overall the question paper was comparatively easier than the previous year's paper and the reaction was moderate.

As per Ramesh Batlish FitJEE, the physics section was comparatively easy and chemistry was between easy to moderate. The mathematics section was moderate as per the reaction of the experts and students. Overall Ramesh Batlish head of FITJEE Noida gave the rating as moderate.

As per Saurabh Kumar CAO (Chief academic officer of Vidya Mandir Classes), The mathematics section was between moderate to difficult whereas the chemistry and physics section was easy to moderate. He further added that the question paper's difficulty level was similar to the previous yeast question paper.

Reaction received by Hindustan Times, the reaction was similar for physics, chemistry and mathematics. The physics section was easy compared to all the other sections. Mathematics was moderate and the chemistry section was easy to moderate. There were more questions from organic chemistry than from inorganic and physical chemistry. In physics, the questions were from Work, EM Waves, Electrostatics, Power & Energy, Wave Optics, Magnetism, Modern Physics, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Kinematics, Heat & Thermodynamics.
