JEE Mains 2017: 4 of Tricity’s Students Make it to Top 100
Four students from Tricity have made it to the top 100 scorers of the JEE Main 2017. A total of 14,000 students from the Tricity appeared for the exam.
Four students from Tricity have made it to the top 100 scorers of the JEE Main 2017. A total of 14,000 students from the Tricity appeared for the exam. The top place in the city has been secured by Shashij Gupta with All India Rank (AIR) 31.
Shashij is the son of a school principal and has studied from Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector 26. He scored 330 marks in the exam. Recalling his preparation, Shashij said that he used to study for four hours a day.
He gives the credit of his success to good planning and time management. His parents are proud of his performance and are hoping for an excellent outcome in JEE Advanced. Shashij wants to take admission in the Computer Science branch of IIT Bombay.
The second place in Tricity has been taken by Rushil Gupta, of Sector 43. With determination and six to seven hours of preparation every day, Rushil secured AIR 39 in the JEE Main 2017 exam. He is also a keen Cricket player and never gave up his hobbies while preparing.
Panchkula’s Sarvesh Mehtani stood third in the city with AIR 55. Sarvesh did his schooling from Bhavan Vidyalaya School. Motivated by the idea of getting into the top engineering, Sarvesh gave his best shot at JEE Main 2017.
The fourth topper from Tricity is Uddhav Aggarwal. Uddhav also studied from SGGS Collegiate Public school Sector 26. He secured an AIR of 75 and is hopeful that he will be able to give a better performance in the JEE Advanced exam.

Like previous years, no girl from the Tricity has made it to the top 100 rankers of the exam. The topper amongst girls from Tricity is Jeetika with AIR 340.
