Free JEE, NEET and TS EAMCET Coaching to Govt. Intermediate Students in Telangana
- The free coaching classes for JEE, NEET and TS EAMCET will begin after the completion of intermediate board exams and junior college exams.
- The intermediate exams in Telangana will begin in the first week of March 2018.
Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Kadiyam Srihari announced that the state government would provide free coaching to JEE,NEET and TS EAMCET exams for intermediate (Class 12) students in government junior colleges across the state. Deputy CM was addressing a meeting organised by Intermediate Education JAC a couple of days ago.
He pointed that many students of junior government colleges are unable to afford coaching classes for these competitive exams. Therefore, the state government has decided to provide free coaching to these students. On this occasion, he called the senior intermediate students to utilise the opportunity for better performance in national-level entrance exams like JEE and NEET. He hoped that intermediate students of government colleges will secure better ranks in JEE and NEET. The coaching classes will begin after the completion of intermediate board exams.

During the meeting, he advised the lecturers of government junior colleges to work competitively at par with private colleges. Expressing his views on commercialisation of education, Deputy CM stated that the state government would regulate the exorbitant fees charged by the private junior colleges.
The Intermediate Board of Telangana decided to implement grading system in board exams this year. Usually, the intermediate results are declared in the form of marks every year. The government decided to put an end to marks system due to the competition and chaos between private junior colleges.

Similarly, the state government will also provide 40-day NEET, IIT-JEE and NEET intensive training to intermediate students of Telangana Residential Junior Colleges (TRJCs). Over 240 M.P.C and B.I.P.C students will be selected for the free coaching programme, and the classes will be conducted from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM with multiple breaks in between. The intensive training classes will begin from March 19 and will continue until April 27, 2018.
