The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) (Main) 2016 exam was conducted on April 9, 2016, at different centers in 132 cities across the country and abroad
The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) (Main) 2016 exam was conducted on April 9, 2016, at different centers in 132 cities across the country and abroad. A total number of 12.07 lacs candidates have registered for the same including the offline and online exam.
In total, there were 90 questions from physics, chemistry & mathematics and were divided into three parts — A, B, C with 30 questions in each part. Each question was of four marks 1/4 marks of total marks per question would be deducted in case of an incorrect answer, whereas no deduction will be made if the question is left un-attempted.
The students were asked to use a ball pen provided by the board for rough work. Also, two sheets of rough paper were being provided to the students during the beginning of the exam. They were permitted to ask for additional sheets (if needed).
A large number of students from Nagpur and Nearby cities come to the city for the examinations. Parents of the candidates waited outside the exam centers as student appeared for the exam.The summer heat and high temperature in the city caused few problems to students appearing for the exam.
Student Ashish Mane, said after the exam that "There were some difficult and tricky questions in the paper and Time management the key which I was focusing on"
Being an educational hub in the state of Maharashtra Nagpur every year is the center for All the National level examinations.
